Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic novel Anne of Green Gables has been adapted for film, TV, stage – and now your favorite streaming service. (It was inevitable.) This reincarnation stars Amybeth McNulty as the spunky titular character, an orphan battling issues that are as relevant today as they were in 1908, like feminism, prejudice and bullying. The eight-episode update begins streaming on May 12; check out the official trailer here.
