What We Love About JuneTRENDINGNo exotic vacation planned this month? No worries—there are plenty of other reasons to be excited for June. From new movies to new makeup to (most importantly) new emojis, here is what’s cool for the summer.

Music festival season is an oh-so-convenient excuse to experiment with—and get away with—a multitude of unconventional beauty looks. Enter Too Faced’s Glitter Bomb eye-shadow palette, full of eight shocking colors (think vibrant purple and hot pink) plus two no-nonsense bases. The limited-edition sparkles will be available for order starting this month. (As if you need more glittery excitement, Too Faced cofounder Jerrod Blandino is already teasing a mysterious liquid-y gold product to be released next spring.)

Speaking of music festivals, Milwaukee’s long-running Summerfest is celebrating its 50th anniversary with ten days of the biggest names in every genre imaginable: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Luke Bryan, Paul Simon, the Chainsmokers, Pink, Tom Petty, Future, and a guy named Bob Dylan. If you haven’t been to a 2017 festival yet, grab your friends and head to Lake Michigan for a little bit of everything.
SPORTS | The First-Ever NBA Awards

It might be a while before we hear a new studio album from Drake. In the meantime, we can get our Champagne Papi fix via the inaugural NBA Awards, which he’ll host on June 26 on TNT. Trophies will be handed out for supreme technical skills like dunking as well as best fashion sense—fans can get in on the action by voting for their b-ball favorites here. Perhaps a new Drake on Cake is in order?
TECH | New Emojis!

Big news: We’re about to have 69 more ways to express our weirdly specific feelings via text message. This month brings the highly anticipated Emoji 5.0 update, the first wave of additions since last November. Highlights this time around include the much-needed vomit face, a tyrannosaurus rex, and both mermaids and mermen (because #equality).
TV | Orange Is the New Black

There are very few valid reasons for holing up in your house just as summer is flourishing, but bingeing season five of Orange Is the New Black certainly qualifies. On the heels of a pretty serious hacking situation, the dark prison dramedy returns to Netflix on June 9 in all of its unpredictable, culturally-resonating glory.
MOVIE | Wonder Woman

Can you remember the last summer blockbuster that starred a female? (Us, either.) Wonder Woman is on track to be a career-defining film for actress Gal Gadot, who is reprising the iconic role from last year’s Batman v Superman in this standalone feature. Literal girl power is on full display—check out this video of Gal’s intensive fight training—and we couldn’t be more pumped.
