How do you like to express yourself?
I like to express myself freely! I enjoy being happy, upbeat, positive and nurturing to our young players.
How is denim a part of your everyday uniform?
Denim is a part of my uniform when we step away from the game and hang out as a team. I get to look cute and feel comfy!
What’s the craziest thing you’ve done when wearing jeans?
The craziest thing I’ve done while wearing jeans is jumping into a pool.
When did you know you wanted to be a basketball coach?
I knew I wanted to be a coach when I began as an assistant volunteer for the girl’s basketball team at Schoolcraft College. I noticed how the girls responded to me and decided to get serious about it.
What is the most rewarding part of doing what you do?
The most rewarding part for me is how joyful the girls are when they make the right basketball play. Their faces light up as I cheer them on for doing such a great job, we always reward them for good play so they try their hardest and the results come.
What is a career highlight so far?
My career highlight would have to be winning the National Champion title with our 6th grade team last year. Nothings better than putting in hard work and seeing great results!
Why do you love living in Detroit?
Detroit has great culture, and has laid the foundation to my adult life. I moved here from Windsor, Canada when I turned 19 and it showed me a taste of America. Also how hard people rep this city is fascinating.
What do you have coming up in the future?
I plan to be moving to Los Angeles by the end of this year to get modeling and life on a roll. Can’t wait to get started!!
