Sad but True
I tried this dress on in the store and was so disappointed in the fit. I wanted to make it fit so bad but its impossible. Im normally a M in Express but this M was tight in the hips and very loose in the top. The store didnt have a L, but I'm willing to bet it would have swallowed me whole until it reach my hips again! EXPRESS PLEASE PLEASE MAKE SOME MINOR CHANGES TO THIS DRESS & RE-RELEASE! I actually like the idea of a loose fit up top and tighter one down bottom but somewhere in between the waist needs to be defined, perhaps some elastic low on the waist to almost give the dress a 'top and skirt' look!

Cute on the right body
Loved the color-blocking, hated the fit. This mod-inspired dress should fit loose like a shift while still looking sleek, but it doesn't.
I am normally a 4/Small in Express dresses and tops (5'4, 136lbs, 34D), but this dress runs smaller than other Express dresses. The small hugged my hips in an incredibly unflattering way, but when I sized up to a medium, the dress swallowed me whole.
This is certain to be a great dress for less "hippy" girls! But I would recommend trying on in store before committing. For a similar alternative, check out the color-blocked ponte knit sheath dress.
